Prevention
Suicide is a complex and tragic, but preventable problem. Mental health problems are one of the most important risk factors for suicide. Our research lab aims to generate knowledge to inform suicide prevention and mental health promotion.
Our objectives
- To identify risk and protective factors for suicide in children, adolescents, and adults through longitudinal cohort studies.
- To develop and test the effectiveness of interventions targeting risk and protective factors, from a suicide prevention and mental health promotion perspective.
- To mobilise scientific knowledge on suicide prevention.
